In August 2019, Glute God officially launched with a single product: workout leggings. Wayne had high standards for what he wanted from men's activewear. The material needed to be soft and comfortable, the fit needed to flatter an athletic physique, and the clothing needed to hold up to real training. Creating something that checked every box wasn't an instant process.

Wayne took the classic squat test to another level. He put materials and fits through real workouts to make sure they could handle the demands of training. He wanted fabric that wouldn't roll down, chafe, or wear out, while still feeling soft and comfortable against the skin. 

Those standards helped shape the products Glute God offers today. Our activewear is designed to look good in the gym and perform when you're putting it to work.

By December 2025, Glute God had grown far beyond the single-product brand that Wayne started. That year brought another milestone, with Google officially recognizing Glute God as a Top Quality Store.

Google's recognition considers factors including customer satisfaction, delivery performance, returns, and the accuracy of product information. For a brand built around customer relationships, that's a milestone worth celebrating.

In January 2026, Glute God crossed 10,000 Shopify orders.

That means more than just 10,000 people choosing to give a small, independent fitness brand a shot. It's 10,000 orders of men's activewear created around the idea that you should be able to feel confident in what you wear while putting in the work. That's a lot of good-looking glutes.

But the original idea is still to train hard, feel good, look good, and wear something that actually fits. Wayne remains at the center of the brand, still training, creating, and listening to the people who wear Glute God. We're proud of how far we've come, and we're just getting started.
